Biography:

Tsung-Heng Tsai (S’99, M’05, SM’17) received the B.S. degree in control engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1994, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Davis, in 2005. From 1994 to 1996, he was a Second Lieutenant in electronic communications with the Army of Taiwan. In 2005, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Chung Cheng University. Since 2022, he has been with the faculty of the Industry Academia Innovation School, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. From Aug. 2017 to Jan. 2018, he was a visiting scholar in the ECE Department, University of Florida, USA.

Dr. Tsai is a senior member of IEEE. Dr. Tsai serves as the executive secretary of the Heterogeneous Integration Consortium of Ministry of Education, Taiwan, from 2009 to 2011. He also serves as Chairman of Tainan Chapter, IEEE Solid-State Circuit Society in 2017 – 2020.  He is a member of the technical program committee of the Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference (A-SSCC) in 2014-2021. Dr. Tsai was the recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award in 2011 and the Yang Scholar Award in 2017 from National Chung Cheng University.

His main research interests are in mixed-signal integrated-circuit designs for integrated micro-sensing systems, including low-power data converters, sensor interface circuits, CMOS MEMS transducers, energy harvesting/power management systems for IoT systems.
